| Do you have any rare collectors items in your home? If so, what? | |

| My dad is really into buying old coins for gifts. I do need to get them all organized and put into books. I am not into collecting, so I really don't appreciate it as much as I should. They will all be my son's some day anyway. | |

| When I was younger I used to collect coins and stamps but have since gotten rid of those (except for my birth year coin collection and a few old types)
Aside from a lot of DVD's I have no real collection. Got a sizeable library of books on sexuality and one signed copy of Eros and a first printing -1969 of the erotic drawings of Mihaly Zichy (Russian artist 19th Century).
But, nothing particularly valuable or rare.

| I collect typewriters and music memorabilia. I've got a few really nice items.
I've got a Madonna vinyl promo worth 50 - 100 bucks.

| Aside from some out of print music, I don't think so. | |

| I do have a photo that may be unique. My dad was a newspaper reported in the 50s. I have a photo of Sugar Ray Robinson and Joe Lewis autographed by both.
I also have a photo of the first mexican that won a boxing world title autographed to my dad. The unique thing about this photo is that it is at the moment he is being directed by the refere away from the champion as he is laying on the canvas. In other words the photo captured the moment of him having knocked the champion down.
I also have a photo of Kid Gavilan autographed to my dad.
I also have photos of my dad with Nat King Cole, newspaper clippings of my dad with Ted Willaims, and I with him with a mexican president.
I have others of many mexican actors and singers.
When I was in Desert Storm I got a few baseball cards with the Desert Storm gold seal on it.
I cherish all those photos very much.
You have a great day. Friendly Veteran

| Oh, I forgot. When I was in the Air Force I collected guns. Had about six pistols (not counting the cap & ball revolver and flintlock) and three rifles. I got rid of all those shortly after quitting the police dept. in 1969 and dropping out.
I kept the flintlock because it was so beautiful. Eventually gave it to my grandson, but don't know if he will go to the trouble of getting black powder and balls to fire it.

You have a great day. Friendly Veteran Friedly Vet, I may be the only other member who knows who Kid Gavilan was without looking him up. I'm not sure though who the other autograph is from. Baby Arizmendi? My brother used to work at Western Union in Times Square. He got me Jake LaMotta's autograph but I think that was lost years ago.

Baby Arizmendi? Kid Gavilan was Hall of Fame Boxer and so were Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Lewis, and Jose Becerra (Mexican Prize fighter). Ted Williams was a baseball Hall of Famer. The Mexican president was Adolfo Lopez Mateos. Nat King Cole a singer and father of Natalie Cole. Since we are on the subject. I also have a photographs of my dad sitting in the middle between Rocky Marciano and Jersey Joe Walcot, both boxing greats. Hope that helps. You have a great day. Friendly Veteran
