Didn't know what else to title this. Is there a movie that you've been familiar with for years that contained some element or scene that looked a little out of place like something was missing and then years later you get the DVD and the extras contain a deleted scene or commentary that makes it all make sense?

These may not be huge plot holes but two examples I can think of are Ceech & Chong's Up In Smoke and The Blues Brothers. UIS was basically some of their bits strung together for a movie. It's about the only one of their movies that I thought was consistantly good throughout. Anyway, there's a scene where they get pulled over and Chong is trying to swallow all the dope he has on him before the cop finds it. He winds up puking in Cheech's lap, ("he said his name is Raaaaalph, man") and the very next scene their being led into a courtroom and Chong is obviously under the influence. Turns out, he wasn't stoned from all the pills he tried to swallow. There was a deleted scene where just before they get into court, a sherrif's deputy sells them some drugs. It was Harry Dean Stanton. If you don't know his name, I bet you know his face.

There's at least a couple in The Blues Brothers but I'm not looking to write a book. Fans of the movie will recall that just before they go in to do their show, they sneak into The Good Ole' Boys' Winnebago and Elwood sprays glue under the gas pedal, ("This is glue. Stong stuff.") Turns out, before he went to pick Jake up from prison, he quit his job at the glue factory and pocketed the can.

Little stuff, I know but I'm just curious.

On my Avatar DVD is the extended cut. A lot of little holes were filled, especially the scene where they are hunting the bovine type animals.

Sometimes IDK why they edit out certain scenes that make a smoother flow. Especially on a movie that is less than two hours.
