| What's your opinion of the term 'Family Values?' Do you believe that it has any real significance that is universal, or is it just a term that the right uses to hang on to an outdated concept? | |

It isn't an outdated concept per se but they use it to denigrate people who don't share their values. Their idea of 'Family Values' is a stay-at-home female mother/wife married to a go-to work male father/husband, raising children together in wedded bliss. Single and same sex parents value their children just as much. It is funny to listen to the right's hypocrisy on the subject. Marital infidelity, divorce, being arrested for solicitation of prostitutes (male and female).

| The left has even more hypocrisy on the subject. I say Family Values are real. But they don't exactly shine favorably upon everything that everybody wants to do. People reject family values because they want their own behavior validated. | |

| The Left likes to use a few isolated cases to say that the "right" is full of hypocrisy. I think the fallacious reasoning is really astounding! | |

The irony is that the same ppl pushing their "family values" are the ones who deny same sex couples to marry and make their families official by law. Agreed.

| Everyone's values aren't the same, the whole thing becomes a waste of breath and just an attempt to indoctrinate....you define your "family values" for you and yours, don't exact that criteria on me. | |

That last part. My family's values are our own for us to decide and live out. We don't need anyone else telling us how they should be!
