I have been to a couple of psychics and one of them really hit the nail on the head on some things. Makes you wonder.

I absolutely believe in the paranormal. I just don't believe that everyone who claims to have the ability actually has it. And I don't believe John Edward is one of them.

I have had visits from both my dead partners in a dream.
OK, so it was a construction of my subconscious mind.
But that mind was really checking the timing of the dream. Jim visited me 21 days after he died (21 was our magic #. On 7-7-77 our bank acct was $2121. We took it as a sign that we could afford to go to India) Anyhow, Jim told me something in the dream that a dead person would have insight on, like don't get too hung up on the material.
However, I would be skeptical of someone claiming to be clairvoyant, especially if they were charging money for it.

I can believe that the dead can communicate with living people, but I don't buy into them seeking out mediums.

Agreed, it's like they would never appear just for a seance or just for a show, if they were going to come back from the realm of the dead, it would be for a genuine reason.

If you've ever seen someone fake it as well (or better) than "legitimate" psychics and admit they're faking it, how are you going to believe the "real" ones?

What I heard about Edward was that he had "spies" listening & gathering information or actually talking to people in the audience prior to the show & gathering information that way. So a real one would have to have some kind of information that you hadn't told anyone I would guess...If the info is just general stuff like "they're happy" "they've 'moved on'"...
I'll never forget the time Sylvia Browne had misunderstood these people & was telling them their child was happy on the other side when there hadn't been a death. The look on her face. lmao
But it would have to be something beyond just generalities.

Not Sylvia Brown. I love her and wanted to believe she was the real deal.
But in general, I don't too much buy into this.

Nope - don't believe in them. I think they're highly skilled at picking up on things and many people will naturally give clues away without realizing it.
If you're talking about the Sylvia Brown incident I think you are, Cece, that was great. Sylvia told the parents of Shawn Hornbeck that he was dead and even described where his body supposedly was. Guess she was channelling the wrong spirits because Shawn was found alive a couple of years later.
