When you think about how old you'll live to be, do imagine that you will see your one hundredth birthday?

I think so, yes, and in fact I'm hoping I do, and then some.

I dunno. I hope so.

I did a mortality check of the men in my family and aside from two great grandfathers who made it to 100, the rest checked out in their mid 70s.

If I can't do many of the things I like, such as riding my bike, walking, running, (even a little chem assist fucking) then what's the point?

You never know but I doubt it. I'm not reckless with the finances but I live for now rather than looking toward the future. For all I know I may not be included in my 5 year plan.

I think there is a good chance I might live to 100. My maternal grandmother died at 95. My paternal grandmother is 85 and in ok health and her mom lived to be 100. I honestly wouldn't want to live to be 100. I would rather died in my 70's or 80's.

It's not a goal of mine. I may wind up finding that I want to hang on to life by my fingernails regardless of how decrepit I become but I really doubt it.

I agree with you & Shale. It isn't how long you live but how you live. Not recognizing anyone or being unable to care for myself & even worse sitting in a corner quacking like a duck is not living.

I hope I do, and in good health. I tend to take more after Dad's side, and the women of his family seem to live long. Though, nobody made it until 100. My favorite auntie is pushing 90, so I think she may do it.

Would I like to live to 100? Absolutely. Do I think I will? No. I've always had the feeling I will die young.

If I'm recalling correctly, the oldest living member in Bob Hope's family was his grandfather at 90-something, and he managed to make it all the way to 100. And then there's the Delany family where the father died in I think his late 70s, the mother lived to be 94, and two of the daughters made it to 105 and 108.

It's not anything I bet on or aim for. If I make it to old age, and die of "natural causes," I'm guessing it will happen in my 80s or 90s.
