| Is it the better wine selection, location, meat...there are so many factors that make fine dining better than the mom and pop places. So, what do you pay extra for that is not food related?
For me it is atmosphere.

| I don't do "fine" dining very often. I know next to nothing about wine and seldom have it at home or when I dine out so the wine list means nothing to me. It's pretty hard to screw up getting a beer to my table so drinks aren't a concern for me either. If the table cloth and napkins aren't made of paper I guess that's pretty fancy for me. The main thing I worry about is how is the food. | |

| By "Fine Dining" do you mean Olive Garden?
That is about the only place I go out to eat - and that is because I like Italian food, which has lots of vegetarian selections and I like red house wine with my meal.
Otherwise I just stay home and have Carlo Rossi Paisano wine with salad and a Michael Angelo frozen Vegetarian Lasagna entree.

| Atmosphere and cleanliness.
Also, even though this is food-related, what their appetizers and dessert selections are.
