His blaming Tess for making him lose Langston and Ryder grated at me. He was married to Tess, could have had her committed, and took Viki up on her offer; at least then he'd have active visitation and could have repetitioned the court for custody later on. He has only himself to blame for letting his fear of Brody and Clint make him a target for Tess's psych out.

Yep I agree he should have taken Viki's deal, she would have let him visit with Ryder.
