From the Ira Levin novel. Gregory Peck as a fictional version of the real life Nazi monster Dr. Josef Mengele trying to clone Adolph Hitler and Laurence Olivier playing a character based on real life Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal trying to stop him. Peck must have had a ball playing a villain.

Re: The Boys From Brazil
I saw part of it when it showed on TCM a couple years back when they did a month of thriller movies...I'm sure I have it on tape somewhere, I'll have to see it again.

Re: The Boys From Brazil
The part I can't figure out is how did Gregory Peck ever get picked for the part of Mengele? You know you always hear about actors who say it's such a pleasure to play this part or that part, like Katharine Hepburn playing the mother in the Glass Menagerie. This is one you would hope he didn't go 'I've been wanting to play a part like this'.
