What are you thoughts on the janet. album?
when i first bought the tape, i was a bit dissappointed. with thats the way love goes being the first single, i was thinking the entire album would be more r&b heavy, then you hear songs like "This Time" (song is a mess), "What'll i do" (what was janet thinking). i remember hearing "If" for the firs time too, and i didn't like it. Hearing the screeching guitars in the beginning was not pleasant to my ears, i didnt warm up to the song til after the video came out. Song with chuck d was just ok too.

It has 2 of my all time favorite janet songs, Thats the way love goes and Anytime, Anyplace
, i like all the singles, where are you now, body that loves you.

i love all the videos from this project,If being the best. Again o so beautiful, anytime anyplace so dayum sexy..

i give it a B, took off points for what i mentioned above.

This is when me and Janet started to run into problems. I thought it was a SEVERE drop in quality from Rhythm Nation, and to this day I have little affection for it. The whole thing was overproduced and flaky IMO.

The janet. album was always my favorite. I still go crazy over "If" and "That's The Way Love Goes". Reminds me of junior year of HS.
