The Virgin tour was special because not only was it Madonna's very first tour but also because this was before she developed her stage ego. That she was just a newly popular singer eagerly performing for her wanting fans without much ego and extravagance made the whole thing sweet! VT I don't know if anyone else noticed had probably her BEST live vocals. She seemed energetic & enthused about SINGING and sounded really good. Second best was Confessions because I think Madonna looked like she had the "fun" on that tour.

The worst tour for me is a toss up between Drowned World and Who's That Girl. Probably WTG. I never make it through the Ciao Italia video without fast forwarding at some point. It's just a typical rock concert that wasn't very "extravagant" but unlike VT didn't have the same cheeriness. Drowned World WAS high brow but very pretentious and cold too. I don't feel she connected well with the audience and she was still in her "I hate my old songs, only gonna do the new" attitude from the ROL & Music era.
