Did you parents make you take naps when you were a child? I'm sure when I was baby/toddler my parents put me down for naps....but I have conscious memory of it. By the time I was 3 or 4, I don't remember ever having to lay down for a nap. I can remember having little friends like ages 5-7 who still had "nap time", but I didn't. My twins didn't have naps after around age 3 either.

Oh yeah I hated it, I never wanted to sleep, would always try to stay up later at night, get up earlier in the morning, but REALLY hated naps.

Every kid is different with this. I don't recall what Mom did with me.

Sometimes they did, more often when I was really little. I remember having to take naps in pre-school and kindergarten. I hated it. I always had a hard time trying to go to sleep.

My Mom has told me she didn't put me down for naps when I was little, or anytime, really. I think it's pretty pointless unless the child is tired. I was spending the weekend at a friend's house one time when I was 6 or 7 and my friend's Mom put us down for naps in the afternoon. I didn't sleep. It was just a waste of time.

Yeah. And baths too!. As NY I think said, naps are something I love now.

Yes they did. I was made to take naps all the way until around age six. When my daughter was small, we used to take naps together, but it didn't last up until age six for her. Probably around four is when her nap time began to play out.
