When I was 8 years old there was some program on Sci-Fi channel, a horror show and in the commercials they said 'what if you could erase your most painful memories? What if you suddenly needed them back?' and I never saw it so I don't know what it was about but that always kind of stuck with me, that maybe it's better for some reason to hang onto them incase you ever WOULD need them.

I would hang onto my bad memories, as much as I wouldn't want to. They make you who you are and they are probably the things that teach you more than anything else.
