Did they do a rewrite? I thought Matthew landed in the hospital because one of the Ford boys (Nate) beats him to a pulp. This didn't go at all like I was ~~hoping~~ anticipating.

They might've done a rewrite but it was never spoiled that he was beaten to a pulp. He was said to get into a fight/altercation with one of the Ford boys, Nate, and he did. He hit his head and now he's in the hospital. FORGIVENESS MAN

The rewrite comes, IMO, in that EA won't leave because of this s/l.

I hope this Matthew crap doesn't wind up taking alot of screen time. I really couldn't care less about him. That kid bothers me bad and I have no affection for him.
