| Here is my son and my absolute favorite auntie. She is approaching 90 and totally awesome and having my son at her house was absolutely cool. Her home was always the place I wanted to be. Always. I love that my son feels the same.

No, it is an awesome pic as well. Seeing such disparate generations apparently connected and happy to be with one another is awesome.
Be sure to hang on to that image (even commit it to paper) - your son will likely appreciate it years later as a remembrance.
I wish I had such a pic of me and a particular great-aunt that I connected with while visiting Mississippi as a teen. She was a bit of a rebel and we had that commonality. | |

| That's a very sweet pic Red, and one that I'm sure you will cherish for a long time coming. It is always good when the different generations can share a common bond as a family, and I can imagine just how nice it must feel to see your son and aunt coming together the same way she and you used to. Very nice picture. | |

So much so that when I saw him for the first time, I literally, instantly switched his name, to Dad's (and Dad's dad's)first name (originally middle name). And his predetermined first name became his middle name. Got that...I re-read it and it is confusing, nonetheless! I was crying and saw him for the fist time, saw how much he looked like "us" and said to his dad, "Can we name him Joseph?" Of course since I just had a child surgically removed from my midsection, I called all the shots! | |
