Re: The Circus.
No way. I personally feel like the animals involved don't enjoy the travel and life they lead having to do all those tricks and being penned up in small areas when they are in a city for a show.
I think circuses would be great if it was just human acts, and no animals.

They're okay. Haven't been to one in like forever. Actually, no, wait.....I have. The UniverSoul Circus comes through here every year. I went about 4 years ago. Wasn't bad.

This is the way I feel about it. All those wild animals - the lions, the elephants, etc. - they are wild animals, they weren't put on this earth to entertain people. It's actually quite disgusting. I can't imagine that they're very happy living that way, and it's saddening.

Yes, I am. Or, at least, the way ciruses used to be long ago. Last time I went was in the late-80's and all the performances were too short. I would have preferred the circuses of the early-early Barnum & Bailey.

It is nice to see that I am not the only one on this board who is against confining animals to small cages and pens, then knocking them in the head and cutting them up to make hamburgers and KFC.
As for the original question, I went a few times as a kid. A big circus comes to Miami every January and they used to unload the rail cars in my neighborhood and have a parade to the auditorium. But now they go directly there.

Re: The Circus.
I imagine that I could only appreciate that kind of entertainment if I had small children who enjoyed it.
