My 10 year High School Reunion

Should I go? I'm half tempted not to, but everyone is egging me to go.

Yeah, I say go ahead and go. You may regret it if you don't. Skip out on the five year (fifth, fifteenth, twenty-fifth, etc., etc.) reunions, but always go to the tenth.

I dunno. I see most of those fools on Facebook anyway, so it's not like we'd truly be catching up. Plus, a lot of them are going to be coming with their boyfriends/girlfriends and husbands/wives and I'm really not in the mood to see nobody all cuddled up right now.

If your not in the frame of mind NY then don't go. Like you said you see these people on FB so its not like you have not seen or spoken to them for the past 10 years. I didn't go to mine simply because a lot of the people I went to school with were big phonies and who wants to reunite with them. Some of the people I was friendly with the friendships continued after HS.

If you're not excited to go, I wouldn't bother with the hassle of spending money to get all gussied up for the occassion. Those things are dreadful when you're not feeling them.

I didn't go to my #10 mostly because no one contacted me about it but there was a chance I wouldn't have gone anyway. When I got a call about #20, though, I went and had a very good time. Maybe you need to get some years on you? It was different for me because there weren't any social networking sites like FB so I really had no idea how some of the people I had known since I was 8 turned out.

If you don't feel like going, I wouldn't go, it's not a necessity and you can always go to the next one if you want to. And since you're connected with a lot of them on Facebook, it sounds like you're pretty much caught up with them on their lives.

Mine was last year and I didn't bother and I doubt I wouldn't have been bored. Maybe I'll hit up the 20th but I don't regret not going to the 10th.

I did not go to mine and I don't regret it a bit. They sent out these little questionnaires about what we are doing along with the invite. One question pissed me off. It said, "What is the best thing you have done in the last ten years." Ugh, what a way to make a scorecard! So I gave a really bitchy response about having too full a life, even with all my mistakes, to be able to pick one thing. And believe it or not, they actually printed that answer in a little book they made. Someone that went told me about it.

My 10th was 5 years ago. I went but was largely bored and only talked to a few there. There was a stench of snobbery, phoniness and boredom in the room.

Mine was 4 years ago, but I forgot to go....just goes to show how important the whole thing was(n't).

So what's the verdict Ny, you going or have you resolved to read about it on FB instead?
