Yes I do. But I'm more likely to carry a wristlet or a little clutch instead. That's if I don't feel like carrying a purse. I tend to like hobos.

As much as a hassle it can be carrying that bag around, I'm one of those women who feels naked in public without it. I lug around too many things, I NEED my purse.

No and no. I have a messenger bag that I carry to and from work that has things I need when I have to go out in the field but my wallet, keys and cell phone are in my pockets.

I carry a man bag to work every day but not when I am at home or roaming around town.

My courier bag has a shoulder strap and that's how I bike to and from work, with my change of clothes and other stuff I may need at work. Oh, my turned off cell phone is kept in the courier bag - only use it to call in if I'm running late.
When not at work, I carry a backpack and while walking around sling it over one shoulder. Good way to travel with things needed on the road.

It's clunky! Besides, the woman's pocketbook already demands an extra seat whenever you go out. If you're with a woman, why make your seat needs go up another 1? And if you're not with a woman, enjoy actually requiring only as many seats as there are rear ends in your group. So I repeat, WHY would I carry a man bag?

Yes, I carry a purse - and I'm quite attached to it! I even carry it around from room to room in the house. I have everything I need in it - make-up, money (sometimes), tampons, etc. I think clutches are cute, but I'd be afraid I'd set it down someplace in public and forget about it.

Always take my purse. The only time I don't is when I'm running up to the gas station or store and will only be gone a minute.

The women don't do that. Why should I be uncomfortable with this big cloth bag on my lap?Tony Marino wrote:Forgiveness Man wrote:

If someone bought me a "man bag", I'd carry it....but never thought about buying one for myself.

I don't think I've ever seen a man with a "man bag"! I'm not exactly sure what the point of that would be - since when do men have to haul around so much stuff?

I remember when men were men.MandyPerfumeGirl wrote:I don't think I've ever seen a man with a "man bag"! I'm not exactly sure what the point of that would be - since when do men have to haul around so much stuff?
No purses or bags, just pockets in their pants and shirt. Pack of smokes in the shirt pocket (or rolled in your sleeve if it was a T-shirt). Handkerchief and comb in one back pocket, fat leather wallet in the other with drivers license, a pic of your girl and lots of bills since there were no credit cards. Front pocket for your keys and coins to make calls on a pay phone. Maybe a lucky buckeye or rabbits foot.
Life was so much simpler back then.

Re: Purses and Man Bags
Yup -= I almost always have a purse with me unless I'm working out. When I'm at work, I keep it locked up.
