I'll be honest with you...it wasn't love at first sight for me either but something made me keep watching and I just got pulled in like Walter White. Things (characters) just changed so much during the run of the show. Just 8 more episodes to go until we see who makes it out alive. If anyone. As to other fans who don't also love Dexter, SoA and The Shield leave me scratching my head. Why argue over which is better? Just enjoy them all

I'm in season 2 right now & think they did a good job with the transitioning of the character. So far it's actually not bad. I like the pace of it & the way they're making his transformation a gradual process & not something that happened almost overnight.

One of the plot devices they use is sometimes starting out with some future event and then working towards it. I think you'll see what I mean (if you haven't already).

Just finished season 4 & downloaded the first half of the final season. Trolling is absolutely unnecessary but as much as I hate admitting it, those little bastards were right. This is quality stuff.

I kind of envy you being able to see it in such a short time frame instead of over a course of years with gaps of time to forget some things that happened.

It probably does help for things to move in one continuous line like that. Even for shows that I've seen every episode, usually more than once I still need that memory refreshing because they put so much distance between the seasons of most shows now. Even with just that time frame I forget stuff.
But yeah you forget little details after several seasons. I've been trying to remember some things about the earlier seasons of Sons & Dexter.

One of my favorite characters was Mike. Jonathan Banks has been around for a long time and I'm glad he finally got such a great role. He was always so understated but flip that one switch and look out! And his boss, Gus. The same way...still waters ran very deep. I really like Giancarlo Esposito.

Both of those characters are fantastic. Everything they were intended to be I think. Intimidating. lol I have to say the casting is just excellent.

Subject: What Bryan Cranston may not be telling us Fri Oct 26, 2012 7:33 pm
Quote :
While making the interview rounds to promote his new movie, "Argo," Bryan Cranston has been chatting about the final eight "Breaking Bad" episodes, set to shoot next March and air next July on AMC.
In these interviews -- the latest of which was posted by the UK Magazine Short List -- the 56-year-old actor reveals himself to be furthest thing imaginable from Walter White. To a disarming tee, Cranston is humble, polite and forthcoming.
Well, maybe not that last one so much. Cranston has been claiming not to have an inkling about what happens to Walter White -- or any of the hit show's other surviving characters -- leading up to the season finale.
"I don't know how it ends and I never ask," Cranston told Short List.
But is he really coming clean? As the predominant actor in a career-defining series, wouldn't the information immensely help him prepare? And, just as a fan, wouldn't Cranston be as eager to know as the rest of us are?
Of course, there's no way of proving it. But human nature alone suggests that Cranston at some point had a conversation with series creator Vince Gilligan that he promised to keep secret from the inquiring world.
Cranston may have spilled more than he intended to earlier this month on Howard Stern's satellite radio show, which has a reputation for making its guests do that.
“At first I thought, 'Well he has to die,'" Cranston told Stern. "'Obviously he’s got to die.' And then I thought, 'Well wait a minute. What if he makes such a terrible environment around him that everyone else dies and he’s left alone, having to deal with his loneliness and the decay of his world?'”
And here's something else to ponder: The Season 5 premiere began by showing Walter, with grown-out hair, flashing his ID to claim a free Denny's breakfast on his 52nd birthday. (The series began on his 50th.) It's a New Hampshire ID, and he is not wearing his wedding ring. He's buying guns for some new mission we're not meant to know about. He coughs and pops a pill, suggesting that the cancer has returned, but he is still very much alive to fight it.
If this ends up being either the last scene in the series, or the prelude to it, it suggests that some of the ending may already have been filmed.
Do you believe that Bryan Cranston really has no idea what happens?

I love Bryan but I don't buy that for a minute. I think he & Vince have probably had discussions about it. Bryan Cranston is like Michael C Hall who both have the title of being a producer of their shows. In the end I guess it's technically Vince's show & I trust his judgment on it but part of what makes this show what is is involves not only the writing but the perfect portrayal of Walter White. So I think he either knows for sure or at least has an idea. But also understand that it has to be a huge secret.
