I never really got into the SATC craze. Never watched the show, or saw the first movie...but, hey, may as well have a thread about it since SATC2 opened today. Anyone see it, or planning to?

Ditto. Don't plan on seeing this one either.

Critics are HATING it. It's at a 15% on Rotten Tomatoes. The first movie was just a fluke. Nobody wanted a sequel of that.

I saw it. I enjoyed it, but can see why it got bad reviews. I think the biggest difference to me is that a person who never saw the series could still enjoy the first movie. In fact, I watched it with a friend who had never seen the series, and she loved it. With the second movie, I think a person had to have history of the characters to appreciate the movie....not that they would be lost, but I think it would not be as easily understood or to appreciate the characters as the first movie.
