    The majority of our states have a state lottery, so what's your opinion on this? Should individuals who receive welfare, state funded health care, food stamps, or WIC, be allowed to keep their winnings if they win the jackpot, or should the money go back to the state?

    Would your opinion change if the lottery winners previously relied on govt. help, but did not do so at the time they purchased the lottery ticket?

    If they win the lottery taxes are going to hack about half of it. But the money is theirs & there's the added benefit of them no longer needing assistance.

    Yeah they take 50% anyways so they paying back what they owe.

    They should keep the money. But they already do that for state lotteries anyway.
