i used to enjoy the mtv, soul train, lady of soul, billboard, ama's, sometimes grammy awards back in the late 80's to 90's
sometimes i'll tune in to bet awards but its not like how it used to be

Probably the music awards. The oscars tend to be boring.

Used to be the Soul Train and the AMA's....but awards show have gone down drastically since 2000. I don't even bother watching any of those shits now.

The Emmys seem the most relaxed and funny, and most of the nominees show up. There are fewer technical awards than ...
The Oscars, which takes itself way too seriously and are boring. I am a diehard lifelong movie buff who does not watch the Oscars. I will channel surf, and if an acting award is next up, I will stay tuned, but do not watch the whole show anymore.

I so rarely catch any of them now, but the VMA's and MTV's movie awards used to be my favorites.
