Well HELLO everyone!!

I've missed you all Still getting divorced and life is crazy, but it's been 2 months and aside from all the drama things are going well. I'm moving on anyway, and registered to start back to school summer quarter and the kids are adjusting. My ex is a whole other story...
It has been SOOOOOO stressful!

But, I'm hopeful that one day it will be worked out!

I'm so glad to be back and see that things are just moving along as usual around here!

How are the kids doing with all this?

They are doing okay. Part of what helps is that we are doing a 'bird nesting' arrangement that is probably HARDER on US, but easier on the kids because they aren't shuffled back and forth. I am here Monday from 5:00 am to Tuesday at 8 am (usually-today J has a thing), Wednesday from 5 am to 7:30 pm, Thurs 5-7:30, Fri-5-7:30, Saturday 2 pm to Sunday 11am. J is here all other times.

The kids are in counseling at school and with a private counselor.

The hardest thing, I think, is that after I recognized how little respect J treats me with, I recognized also that my kids treat me exactly the same way, so I had to lay down the law and start commanding respect from them, at exactly the same moment when someone else started thinking "I may never see my kids again so I'm going to spoil them to death..." So I'm the "bad" guy now and it's really stressful for them as well as me, I think.

That's a very interesting arrangement TPP; I could see how it would be easier on the kids, but difficult on the two of you. Is this arrangement something that is to continue indefinitely, or for the time being?
