I love arcade games, especially the ones you get tickets on and if you get like 800 tickets you can get a lava lamp or something...there were a couple in particular I was VERY good at, the ones with the high payouts, there was one at the bowling alley which was ironically a bowling game, aim the thing, slide a quarter in it, the quarter will roll and if it hits a pin, the number on the pin is how many tickets you'd get, from the start I figured out how to hit the highest one 75 tickets, but the last time I tried that one, after 2 of those payouts, it broke down.
And there was one the theater had in its family arcade, Spin A Winner, this big game, this revolving circle with numbered holes in it, all ticket amount numbers, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, etc., and you put a quarter in, a ball hovers over, you press the button, it will fall in whatever hole it wants to, and my friend and I always got the big winners, 75 and 150, and the machine broke down because it ran out of tickets and the next time we went back they'd gotten rid of it! Bunch of sore losers.

I'm good with them, but my addiction to them is always short lived. I play them for about a week, before moving on (or to the next game.)

Oh yeah I love that one, can't ever score high enough that the tickets are worth it, but I'd like having one of them too!

I used to be pretty fair at pinball and I don't think my wife has ever met a claw machine that she didn't make her bitch.

Oh man I loved that part of Tommy!
And as for claw machines, I was not great with them but when the Wal-Mart here had them I was an occasional winner, the first time I got 3 toys at once because a lot of them had been stacked up near the drop, and the one it was carrying knocked two more down the chute with it, LOL! Wish I'd had more luck like that.

In college, I used to work at a sandwich shop in a Jersey shore town over the weekend that had about 8 machines that I could play for free. The owner had T-shirts made with pinball logos and "Pinball Wizard". I was wearing mine one early morning in the B&H in the East Village and a very pregnant young lady sashayed past and noticed my shirt. It was a good ice breaker back then.
