| How do you feel about children flying alone? Situations where their parents will put them on a plane to fly out to visit whoever, who is then supposed to meet them at the boarding gate. Would you allow your nine or ten year old child to fly by themselves? | |

| Nothing wrong with it. My and my brother would fly alone when we were younger. And yes I would. | |

| I suppose I would but I'd dot all the T's and cross all the I's as far as who on the plane was keeping an eye on them and who was picking them up, etc. | |

| I don't know how protocol is handled, but if the child is personally supervised by and escorted off the flight by one of the attendants, then it seems like no big deal IMO. | |

| Eh, I'm not against it cause I know it's sometimes necessary but I doubt I'd let my kids do it. | |

| I wouldn't fly.. so if one of my sisters/brother were to send one of my nieces/nephew on a plane that young i'd be worried.
but since that would probably never since, we don't know anyone that far for them to travel by plane, i guess i wouldn't have to worry about that

| I would be so nervous, but would do it. From what I know, per a friend of mine, whose 13 year old flew alone last year, a person pays extra to have a rep from the airline be in charge of the kid, so no mishaps occur.
My son is only 12, and I would actually be ok with him taking a bus to get to Dad's. The bus he would take would be less than two hours with only two stops. I am sure he would be fine, as he would have his phone. (I wouldn't let him do it without his phone) But, his dad is 100% against it, which I understand too.

| I think it's fine for kids to fly alone. Between the security on airplanes and at the airport, it's not a big deal really. Much safer than having them ride the bus. | |

| I remember last month when I was flying and I had to sit next to this snot nosed kid on the plane flying by himself. I was thoroughly disgusted with him. He would eat all kinds of sticky snacks, getting the stuff on his fingers, licking his fingers, sneezing and wiping his nose and not using a tissue. I was done. | |

Yes, I would. I used to fly alone when I was that age and I never had a problem. According to Penn & Teller, "Stranger Danger" is Bullshit!
