    Gigi's death Empty Gigi's death

Post by TSJToddFan Thu Jun 16, 2011 6:09 pm

JPL's acting was all over the place today but I still felt bad for Rex. Gigi's death was kinda dry however and felt like it was less about her and more about how Rex would take it.

It is more about the family when you lose a loved one. They are gone but we are here to deal with the pain of that loss. Its a pain that never goes away. I think their focus on Gigi was good, she is gone and Rex and Shane have to say their goodbyes. Its still sucks the way they did the whole thing, I still say they could have married her and Rex off and just have them leave town.

JPL really was over the top and that stupid finger of his that's always pointing really made it hard to get through those scenes. JPL really can't do serious scenes like that. I end up feeling really bad 'cause all I want to do is chuckle at his overacting and here I'm supposed to be feeling something for whatever is going on. Haven't watched today, though, so maybe he was better today but those scenes the other day at the hospital were just too much for me. If I didn't hate Gex so much, maybe I"d feel something more but I can't stand either of them and JPL's overacting has made it hard, though I did feel bad for Shane. The kid who plays him is decent.

I was no fan of Gigi either but I still felt bad. I think Rex played the part stunned and he could have shown a bit more emotion. He did an o.k. job telling Shane that Gigi was not coming back. I am glad Roxy was with him instead of Echo who seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

JPL was fine. People act like nobody else has any other acting ticks. Some of the show's most praised actors kind of leave me unimpressed.

Yeah - I felt more from Roxy and Shane than from Rex. ITA he did an okay job telling Shane, but his scenes still fall so flat for me. Roxy is the one who really loves Shane. Echo? Eh - not feeling her love as much. Roxy's the one who should be there for Shane. Rex still brought those scenes down with JPL's lack of acting skills but Roxy and Shane were much better. It was just like the scenes with Shane's cancer storyline. Had they had talented actors playing those scenes, I'd have felt a lot more than I did but between the horrible writing and JPL and FF's acting, I really couldn't get into those scenes any more than I'm really getting into the scenes of Gigi's death. JPL was still all over the map yesterday and his facial expressions seemed more like comdeic relief than grief.
