How do feel about colleges meant for just for men, or just women? At that stage, is it necessary to keep the sexes separate?

I think it's idiotic to keep them separate at any stage...everybody says school is supposed to prepare you for the real world, and yet if your kid's where they're only surrounded by their own 'kind', what the hell are they going to do when they're out in the real world where the sexes work together all the time?

There is nothing wrong with them. Some people just prefer that environment. Most single sex colleges are just tradition, not really something that's considered 'necessary'...like Spelman and Morehouse. I think it would be stupid to intersex those schools.

There would probably be a lot less distraction from the studies (except for the gay and lesbian students)
