Which singers/rappers/bands hold the most nostalgia for you?

U2, The Doors, Journey and the B52's make me think of high school--they were all huge back in the early 80's, with The Doors having a resurgence back then, despite Jim Morrisson being dead.

For college, bands like The Smiths, Echo and The Bunnymen, Nine Inch Nails, Winter Hours--anything on the alternative scene--were what was big with the group I hung out with. (Yes, I was a Goth, back in college and wore mostly black!) LOL

I actually haven't progressed much past all the older music, and that's all that's on my Ipod--60's classic rock, 70's punk/disco and 80's alternative/new wave.

Aaliyah, George Michael, Bone Thugs N Harmony, pre-2000s era Mary J. Blige, Alexander O'Neil, pre-1990s Prince.

Steppenwolf, Derek & the Dominos, The Who.

80's bobby brown, pebbles, karyn white, salt n pepa, , non single album tracks from janet (mainly from control and rhythm nation), early 90's r&b groups.. stuff like that
