Got home tonight, walk upstairs and ask my wife,"I thought you used the oven last night to cook the chicken?" She did. The AC is blowing warm air. She already called maintenance but it's going to be a sweaty night. Oh well

It's over 80 and it's humid. None of us have asthma, etc. and I know there are people who have it a lot worse but I'm paying for it.

It just doesn't feel that hot to me. It's not that humid. Warm, yes, but not unbearable. Perhaps because my room is pretty much in the shade, so when I put the fan in the window....it's blowing cooler air.

What floor do you live on? It feels better now after we had a chance to open windows and get the fans going but coming home to an upstairs apartment on a warm day that's had the windows closed all day without AC...it's going to be toasty when you first walk up the stairs.

Yeah, I believe it. Once had a first floor apt, that was cool when I got home if it was closed up. The AC from upstairs and the two apts beside me kept mine cool.Alan Smithee wrote:Nystyle709 wrote:

I got mine going, my bedroom is on the second floor facing the west so I get the afternoon sun beating down and it was 85 degrees in here when I came home. Nice and cool now.

i feel for ya alan, i dont have a/c at all..and tomorrow is supposed to get to 90. And i'm supposed to somehow sleep through it

The HVAC sub came. The compressor bought the farm. Maintenance dropped off a window unit until it's fixed tomorrow or Thursday.
