I typically don't buy whole CD's unless I am pretty confident it'll be good. So even my most questionable purchases tended to be at least okay, and at worst a little mediocre.

I have a very eclectic taste in music. But several years ago I bought a couple bluegrass CDs. Don't get me wrong, as a musician Rhonda Vincent is heads, shoulders & toenails above Allison Krause, who gets all the attention. But seriously I don't know what the hell I was thinking.

I don't really have any. I don't buy CDs hoping I'll like them. I buy them because I already do. Was the question more did I buy a CD because I liked one song and the rest turned out to be crap? Not even then.
