Do you shred?

Do you run your junk mail through a shredder? Especially the pre-approved credit card offers or even anything that has your name on it?

I tear/cut it up. Haven't received a credit card with my name on it in years.

Not a card, but a pre-approved application. Someone else fills it out and they get a credit card with your name on it.

I shred and tear to pieces.

I shred absolutely everything right down to store receipts that show itemized descriptions of what I bought. Also, depending on what has my name on it, I sometimes bring it into work for disposal in the "Burn Box" which we use for getting rid of waste paper that has patient information on it. We used to haul the Burn box over to the boiler room for incineration, but now we have a company that collects them and shreds the contents, but we still call it the Burn Box. LOL


Just as a side note, whenever I get junk mail with the postage-prepaid envelope, I tear up whatever offer came with it, making sure my name isn't on it, put it in their envelope and mail it right back to them. Doesn't cost me a dime and gives a message about unwanted junk mail!

I'll shred it. Or, if it's really sensitive material, I'll crumble it up and run it under water.

I don't have a shredder, but I'll rip it up into tiny pieces.

Used to but I don't have a shredder anymore. The one I had wore out. I just toss things in the garbage now, don't even bother ripping them up - dangerous as that may sound.
