I was thinking of getting the droid as well Verizon has some kind of special on it if I renew my contract with them. I have a blackberry now and it pretty much sucks plus I don't use it much anyways. Let us know how the Droid is.

Okay, I'm two days in and I'm typing this from the phone right now.....which is super easy to do. . Ihave no problem copy and pasting or adding the emoticons on here. It's just like being on my laptop, only a smaller screen. The touchscreen is really sensitive and it's something you prob. have to get used to,but since my old phone before the last one was a touchscreen, it's not a problem for me. What I don't like about it is the battery life. Of course, ths is probably an issue for most smartphones, but yeah, you're going to need to carry your charger with you. You can get a day out of it barely if you don't do too much, but definitely carry the charger or get one for your car. I don't care for the emoticons on here. Being a big texting person, I like for my texts to be animated when I want them to be and the ones on here kinda suck. My last two phones were better. The speakerphone sucks. Can barely hear anything.But for the most part, it is very user friendly. The interface is nice. The build is nice. Sturdy and light at the same time. The apps are better than iPhone to me. I've already downloded 3. The games are good too. Right now, I'm playing words with friends. What makes Android better than iPhone to me is that Android gives you more options. With iPhone, you're basically regulated to what iPhone provides you with. Like for instance, the memory. While Android lets you change the memory card to add more memory, iPhone doesn't. So if you figure download all your apps, plus your music, plus your pictures, plus maybe a movie...you take up all the space on your phone and you can't add any more without deleting something. Android is opposite. There is a slight bit of lag if you're using Wi-Fi (and depending onthe Wi-Fi signal) and not 4G but for the most part, it's pretty fast and processor is really fast too. So far so good....
