I think she's as close to the best as you can get. There are a lot of things that looking back now she could've handled a LOT differently but at the same time, you know, you have to be thankful for everything that she DID do right.

Mom parented me as best she knew how to. And while she skipped over a lot of stuff, I will always know she loved me to the tips of her fingers.

There were times when it wasn't perfect - no parent is - but my Mo is still the best. Any time we clashed, it was because we're both so similar. She's my closest confident and one of my best friends.

My mom is not a bad person, but she is self-centered and never really bothered with me past elementary school. I voted "she tried a little." No, we're not close.

My mama is the best. She nags, complains and gets on my nerves often enough but I wouldn't trade her for another on a bad dad.
