Are you all caught up on your bills, or do you owe on anything?

I owe

I owe 4 grand on my student loans. That's it.

Deeply & profoundly but not stressing about it. Just livin' life.

True. Even if you do it's those unexpected situations that can do you in. Husband had a stroke several years ago & it's the medical expenses & being out of work for a while that did us in. You can end up underwater faster that you think.

Not really. I have been before, but it's never gotten out of hand because I'm quick to turn off anything I can't afford and go old school with my lifestyle. The only thing I'm paying off is a car note.

I have a couple credit cards that total a few hundred. Nothing major.

I think for as long as we are alive we will be in some kind of debt be it a mortgage, car payments or credit cards. I am not in any kind of serious debt, I owe nothing on my credit card and all my bills are up to date.

My wife just bought a new car and I'm almost through paying off mine. She has a couple of store credit cards. My student loans were paid off looooooong ago.

I never incurred student loans. Does that make me stupid?

I only have my mortgage and a small amount left on an auto loan. The car loan should be paid off in the next few months, though, because I've been shovelling extra towards it along with the regular payment. Zero balance on credit cards, and I only have two of those that I use in instances where cash isn't an option such as an online purchase, or a back to school shopping trip, but I do pay off the entire balance whenever the bill comes in.

Yeah - mostly 'cause of my student loan, which I"m still paying back and I have a bit on my credit cards.

I recently went back to school and incurred student loans. however, I was able to pay them off, and paid my car off two years early. But i couldnt be satisfied with that now could I??? So i had to go and buy my dream car... I put half down, but still have a typical payment. My mastercard has about $3000 but this is not something that I have any problems with.
