Do you think the law should require bicyclists (of all ages) to wear helmets; akin to how motorcyclists are required to?

Re: Bicyclists and helmets
Well, I never really rode my bike with a helmet growing up, but in this day and age with more and more bicyclists sharing the road with motorists, I think it prob should be.

Re: Bicyclists and helmets
No. Adults should have a choice to opt out of wearing helmets on bicycles.
I have watch bicyclist die in the street, bleeding out from head wounds when they were hit by a car and their head smashed into another car. I know the dangers.
When I was hit by a car, my bare head smashed the windshield. I required some stitches but then it occured to me, had I been wearing a helmet the force could have been dispersed, perhaps breaking my neck (Like Chris Reeve who was wearing a helmet when he fell off the horse).

No. My brother and I never wore helemts and neither did any of our friends and we all fell off eventually but we never sustained any head injuries, mine were to my ankle and my arm and my back.

No. I'm against most Nanny Laws but I also think people who don't want to wear helmets or their seatbelts, etc. should have to bear at least some responsibility if they're injured.

Re: Bicyclists and helmets
I never wore a helmet growing up but today with the insane drivers out there I would say its a good idea.
