| Scenario a:
A woman is scorned by a man so bad that she exacts revenge by claiming rape.
Scenario b:
A woman somehow believes she had been raped, makes a huge case against the man accused, but she later realizes that she was mistaken.
What would you say should be the penalty for both scenarios?

B: Depends on the situation. If she makes an honest mistake, that's one thing. Sounds like she should be psychiatrically studied before making a decision. | |

B.? Can someone creative please give me a scenario where a woman can honestly believe she was raped but later come to find out she was mistaken? Regardless, if she really thought she was, then I don't see a crime. When someone is falsely convicted through faulty eyewitness testimony, the witness isn't charged with a crime unless they perjured themselves. | |

| i think scenario a: definite jail time
b: there is no intent, which in most cases needs to be connected to prosecute/convict. one exception is manslaughter--u didnt mean to kill him, just assault him, but he's dead. | |
