    This is one film franchise I NEVER understood why it ever caught on, and I also never understood why they run marathons of this drek during Christmas.

    I could not get into the whole 007 gig, I watched Goldfinger and that was about all the further I could get there...to me it has absolutely no appeal whatsoever. In fact I would've found it more interesting if Goldfinger's buzzsaw had worked in slicing him down the middle.

    How about everyone else?

    my mom loved it... so we saw Never Say Never, Octopussy, For Your Eyes Only, and A View to a Kill in the theatres. i can honestly say that later as a teen/adult i have never watched them.

    I did see casino royale remake and liked daniel craig but i wouldnt light fireworks over it

    i liked Roger Moore... Roger Moore was classy and the British accent was sexy. He was always dressed well and was rich... what woman doesnt want a rich, nice dressing, good looking, sexy sounding guy?

    It is a dated image of an era. Perhaps you had to have been there.

    Playboy magazine was at its height, Pan Am Airways was the way to travel, women were beautiful objects (sometimes smart and deadly) and men like James Bond were suave, cultured, cosmopolitan and ocassionally deadly himself.

    The stories orinated with Ian Fleming's experiences from WWII but that culture was still the mainstream in the '60s when I watched Bond movies. My first one was From Russia With Love and I was in the Istanbul area when I saw it. Yeah, I travelled the area in a trench coat. Blue Cool smoked cigarettes too. It was all about the image.

    I like James Bond. Sean Connery was the best one.
