It's funny you posted this because I just heard about it yesterday when someone was talking about the checking in or favorite places feature on there. I didn't know what Google+ was, but I certainly didn't think it was a social networking place. I don't think it is wise to use the Google name with it because "Google" is pretty much a verb to people as much as it is a proper noun.
