34 sucks

So, at 9:35 a.m. I will be 34. Wow. That is so friggin sucky. I just keep thinking that I will be 68 before I know it...totally freaking out.... I really have not felt this awful since 29.
29 sucked.
And I am not fishing for b-day well wishes...I am just venting...I am so friggin' old.

Gurl slap a smile on that sour puss, grab a couple of your friends and go out for your birthday.

I felt the same way about turning 30, but got over it quick when I was reminded that only other option to aging was death. Turning 31 was a lot better for me. My biggest problem with aging is not so much wishing I could again be [enter frivolous callow age here], but moreso wishing that it was still THAT year that I was. Would I like to be eighteen again? Sure. But I absolutely would not have want to have been born in 1992. I would just rather it be 1997.

I am do not celebrate my b-day usually, but will do so tom. since it is Saturday. My son and hubby type will do something fun, for sure.

Enjoy your birthday RedBedroom! and don't irritate yourself silly over "34" because that isn't anywhere near being old. I'm turning 28 in a few months and actually look forward to my 30s. My 20s are getting kind of stale.

Enjoy it your birthday Red. Every new year is an accomplishment. Turning thirty was great for me (just turned thirty-one last month, that one was kinda boring.) I had no hesitation at all about entering my thirties. I feel like I'm finally in sync with where I'm supposed to be. I'd never wanna go back to being under twenty-five.

Happy Happy Birthday RB. Don't worry about numbers, they are inevitable and your as old as you make yourself feel. Besides you are still very young so just enjoy yourself and have a drink or two!

LOL, someone told me that if I didn't want to get old, that I should just kill myself. Harsh choice of words, but essentially the truth.

I'll be 40 in October. I've never looked better, felt better, or been in greater possession of myself. Some time ago I decided that convention didn't get to tell me who I was on any level, whether regarding age, gender, race, interests, or anything else. After that, every day is an adventure. It'll be an adventure to be 50, too. And 60, and beyond, if I am so lucky as to attain advanced age in relatively good health. I look forward to it all!

I'll be 34 in Oct and am ok with it. It's 35 I'm dreading.

Thanks everyone. I am not a vain person, I just don't like seeing the years add up and come faster and faster. The years are just going too darn fast now.
We did have an excellent day and I enjoyed it very much.
