Which is the more irksome to you, when a bad or just okay film is praised as must see...or when a good film goes under the radar, or is snubbed by critics?

I hate when a film is promoted and overrated and then you go see it and it sucks. This is how I felt with shutter island.

Definitely overrated. Like The Blair Witch Project, Iron Man 2, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter.

Underrated. As much as it bugs me seeing stuff like Twilight praised as the greatest film on Earth, it bothers me when genuinely good, original films slip under the radar as it tends to make studios go back to what they know sells, rather than take a chance on original stuff.

Not uncommon for a "average" movie to get boasted up like its the shit but I think it bothers me more when good movies get ripped apart.

I'd say overrated. I don't like bad movies getting all this press. I don't necessarily mind good movies going under the radar, it makes it more fun to share them when you discover them. I DO, however, hate it when critics hammer said movies, especially with all the poopoo dominating the big screens. Even if the movie is only okay, they are often better than the movies ringing in over 100K, so I hate it when they get panned, at least if I liked em. Razz
