I like the character of Madea. My problem with the movies, though, is (aside from how soap opera-ish they are) how the Madea character is basically used as a cleverly placed marketing ploy, while the films themselves center around other characters. Madea, herself, is almost always a mere "B"-story character in amongst it. That drives me crazy. Madea Goes to Jail was actually Rudy Huxtable Goes Rogue. Love the play's though!
