When was the last time you replaced an item of furniture at your place, and what was it? Are you happy with the way your place is furnished, or are you interested in redecorating?

Re: New furniture
IDK 20 years?? I've added a couple of DVD shelves but haven't replaced anything for decades. Some of my furniture goes back to the mid '80s. I think some of my sturdy milk-crate book shelves goes back into the '70s.

Re: New furniture
It's an appliance, a washing machine. Actual furniture. . . just a rack for my cds.
Definitely need to replace the dining table and that is coming eventually.

Re: New furniture
It's been about 6 years. I probably won't replace anything until it's at least 10 years old.

Re: New furniture
When I moved out, I furnished the place with a combination of stuff my parents and friends gave me and stuff I bought. So it's kind of a mix of old and new. Maybe in a few years I'll refurnish the place with an all new set, but as of now it isn't anything on the pipeline.

Re: New furniture
In the past year I have replaced a living room set, coffee and end tables, a new tempurpedic mattress and box spring, and a recliner. I had the house painted and added odds and ends for decorative effects.

Re: New furniture
I think I'm going to get a new living room set next year. I don't want the sectional that I have in my living room anymore.

About 18 months ago, I got a new tv stand for the new tv and a matching bookshelf.
