I'm back in school, this is my 2nd quarter, and I've got a lot of math to take to get my degree. I'm still doing pre-req math, so math 90 is what I'm in now...I hate it. Seriously. HATE.

I'm tryint to figure out why 3/5-5/8= x/20 x= -1/2 instead of the answer that I got, of -1/40

clearly I don't know what I'm doing!

I had to take calculus twice...and even then I scraped by with a D. If I had to do math to save my life, then I hope there are lots of pink carnations at my funeral.

They should outlaw fractions - go strictly with decimal.

I have been working nearly half a century in a multitude of jobs and have never once needed to know what 3/5 of 5/8 of anything was. blank stare @ you

Even my entrance exam for Certified Nursing Assistant required a fraction section on the math part. I failed that section completely, but the other 'normal' math I understood and my overall grade let me slip thru. I aced the course with a 99% on the state's final test (which only had stuff that applied to the job - no fractions)

If It's calculus or trig.....you're on you're own....but if its basic math and algebra and geometry.....I could get through it. If you need help, let me know.
