Your First Dates

What is your ideal way to spend a first date? Fancy restaurant? Bowling? Movie? Describe your preference.

I never really dated.

Altho mentioning movie, I recall for some reason I did take a girl to a movie in 1969. It was 2001: A Space Odyssey - not recommended as a date movie for regular girls. I don't recall ever seeing her again, but the movie was interesting.

When I took an interest in Brenda (and she in me) we would go get something to eat at Waffle House. That is about as close to a date as I've ever done. All else was just meeting someone in a bar or later a coffee house and sharing a bed with them for the night.

I like mine casual. No dinners at fancy restaurants for me. Let's go to a cheap shack that sells good food (like a barbeque joint), have a beer or two, and feel real. For one thing, if my date is ill at ease in such a place then we probably aren't a good match.

Fancy restaurants can come later.

Amusement parks can be a fun first date, too.
