Chihuahua. My parents always had a Chihuahua, and so when I got a dog, a Chi is what I wanted. And I found the perfect little guy for our family and it is great.

Doberman Pinscher's are my favorite. Streangth, beauty, smart, loyal, speed agility, loving, playfull and protective... yet can think independently. Then after that, Boxers. Intelligent, physically sound, and loyal.

The Retrievers are adorable, but I hear they can be a bit too playful for their own good sometimes. The pocketbook dogs and the beagles are also cute. I guess I don't got a fav breed.

I like a Collie they are smart, beautiful and great watch dogs. They are also loyal and very obedient and great with children.

Re: What is your favorite dog breed?
I had a Collie/Golden Retriever mix named Zack. Gorgeous dog. Had him for 12 years....but to my heartache he got sick and ultimately had to be put down. Collie's and Retrievers are probably two of the friendliest, most loyal, humorous/comical dog breeds there are....so I got the pick of the litter with him. When I was 14, I had a near fatal asthma attack and had to go to the hospital for a week....my mother told me that during that week I was gone Zack was depressed, mopped around the house and slept in my room. Usually when I came home from school, he'd be so overexcited to see me that he'd damn near knock me down....but when I came home the hospital, he slowly crept around the corner, and very tenderly jumped up to me. Like he sensed that I had been ill. ***teary-eyed***
I'm contemplating another dog....but for sentimental reasons I don't know if I want to get the same breed(s). I'm actually considering a Dobie or a Rott. Even though they scare people and can be vicious....I heard that they are actually affectionate and loyal with their owners, just not with strangers and outsiders. My Collie/GR WAS friendly with strangers....too friendly probably. He probably would have been easy to steal.
....and at the same time I kinda want a cat too. I want both.

Thats a great story Marc and I can see that happening with the dog. I would love to own another dog and a cat too but I am not home enough to take care of a dog and I don't like the idea of leaving it home alone all day long so for now I am petless.

Re: What is your favorite dog breed?
I'm not good with knowing dog breeds, if I tell someone my roommates have 2 dogs, and they ask what kind? I say one is black the other is brown.

Re: What is your favorite dog breed?
Dalmatian. Very loyal dog, and protective of the family. I knew no one could ever break into my house cause that dog would take a bullet for me. She once got sick and I paid $8000 to save her. She lasted another two years, but she was my only child, so it was worth it to me. When she died, I joined a dalmatian rescue for awhile fostering and training dals
