Which solialist program do you have the biggest problem with?

Which system do you think is the most flawed?

Social Security? Medicare? Education system?

None of them are "flawed" in the general sense because they all are important. They've just been heavily misused and abused and poorly ran. Social Security has been handled the worst.

It's the abuse, fraud & waste that bother me most.

I couldn't agree more. You do know that the US has 'borrowed' more money from the SS fund than they have from the Chinese?

Here in Canada we have CPP the equivalent of SS then we also have OAS, that depends on ones retirement income, poorer people get that. We have all the rest as well and we have medical care for everyone, more or less. The UHC is handled differently by each province. Here in BC we pay for medical insurance that is single payer, and pretty darn cheap, it covers all Dr's visits, as well as all hospital care and pays some of optometrists care and all of the eye specialists care. If someone is on disability or welfare and unable to pay the province pays. We also have Pharmacare, it too is geared to income, for us we have to pay a certain amount, probably a couple of thousand on our prescriptions before the province kicks in for 80%, another few hundred and then they kick in 100%. Yes as retirees on fixed incomes we find the first 3 or 4 months difficult but we also think it is fair. We don't find our taxes any higher than we found them in the US, nor do we have the terrible long waits to get care that the AMA and the American Insurance companies tell you about!

What we do not have and our right wing Prime Minister would like to have so he can feel like one of the big boys is a huge military. They are attacking women's rights as well, they are pretending it is something else but everyone knows exactly what they are up to. This after Harper said he had no intention of addressing women's reproductive rights at all.

Judging by the dolts we got graduating, probably education. lol Of course, throwing more money at the system seems to be everyone's favorite quick fix. Yet the more money we toss at it, the worse it gets.
