    A guy's SUV breaks down and he pushes the car off the side of the road... a car comes along and hits him and leaves the scene. A good samaritan stops and asks the man if he is alright... and wants an ambulance. The first man gets up off the ground and says "no thank you im fine" and as he is wiping himself off another car plows into him and kills him.

    THAT is a really bad day!!! poor guy.

    I read about that. Sounds like something that would only happen in a movie.

    No, it happens in Florida all the time. BTW, where did this take place? It didn't say the second car that hit him took off too - but that would be the story in FL.

    BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man who was pushing his car after it broke down was hit by a passing vehicle, got up and told a good Samaritan he was OK, only to be struck and killed by a second vehicle.

    The Asbury Park Press reports William Cassano of Brick Township was pushing his disabled Toyota 4Runner from a lane on Route 70 Thursday night when a passing motorist stopped to help him. As the good Samaritan was getting out of his vehicle to help, an oncoming car crashed into the back of Cassano's Toyota, throwing him 30 feet.


    Police say Cassano got up, told the good Samaritan he was OK, then was hit by another vehicle that killed him.

    Detectives are asking witnesses to the crash to come forward.
