Yeah more than once when I was younger I'd take magazines (usually Black Hair) to hairdressers and told them I wanted such and such look. That was years ago now though. I don't bother doing that now.

I never tried to copy a celebrity look but unfortunately at one time I sorta resembled this guy.

Yes. I loved Melina Kanakaredes' hair and I did copy it. I had it that long for a couple years.

I'm halfway ashamed to admit this, but when I was 14 I grew my hair out because I wanted braids....my cousin knew this hair braiding place that she sent me to. And when I went took a picture of Kris Kross. I circled the lightskinned dudes picture because his braids are all soft and neat....and X-ed out the dark skinned guy, because his were all thick and raggedy.

funny.. but although i never tried to copy anyone... i used to get told that i looked like Ellen Barkin-- who has a much bigger nose than i do.. so never saw it... and also drew barrymore.
