I love Madea, she's funny. Now, there are the movies and the plays, and neither is really a solid winner because plays have all those songs in them but movies don't focus so much on Madea.

Good to watch on cable late at night, but the majority of his films aren't worth taking a trip to the movies to see.

I think the storytelling in his movies has gotten a lot better, but I've never been the big die hard fan. IA with his movies being 'too preachy'.....if he can get past that aspect, then he has the potential to be a really good filmmaker. Madea was always annoying to me, but then I got used to her. She REALLY had to grow on me.
