    Joan crawford won an oscar for mildred pierce, and it saved her career.

    i did enjoy this movie... but a couple things bothered me about it. Number one, the daughter's death scene was WAY too short and casual.... "there was nothing more we could do for her, perhaps i'll make you some tea" was very anticlimatic to me.

    the other is that vita needed to be slapped a lot more than she was! LOL

    The Re-make with Kate Winslet was really good too! I think she won an Emmy for it??

    really... i saw that on the tv guide, but didnt dvr it because i had other stuff on... maybe i will check it out

    It was on for 3 nights, 2 hours a night but it went fast for me because I enjoyed it.
