Ew, never put them in the fridge, it turns them black!

Counter. Fruit is really not supposed to be refrigerated. I don't know why people do that. Fruit is not meant to last for days and days. They need to be consumed while ripe and that comes and goes quickly.

My mom refrigerates them and they look gross. I remember asking once if they were rotted and she says no that's just how they look when they're cold.
